Architecture is when you create buildings and structures for the benefit of the community. Structures like hospitals and bridges are common efforts and are familiar with feats and accomplishments. However, architecture can be hard, but the rewards are amazing. Some of the most popular and mind-blowing pieces of modern architecture include include the Eiffel tower and the empire state building. However, a part of the architecture that has not been entirely recognized by individuals is the Super Bowl Stadium. This stadium is expected to host multiple games and competitions that will utilize its abilities to a whole new level.
Hosted at the Super Bowl Stadium on Feb 3rd, fans are delighted and pumped to see the most important game of all time. The Super Bowl LIII is a game between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. While the game is set to be incredibly nerve-wracking, the stadium is the real star.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium
This new architectural creation is the pride and joy of Atlanta, Georgia. With multiple retractable rooms for different weather’s, this stadium has it all. Not only is this structure new, but it is also a mass twisted shape of metal and glass that is both aesthetic and functional. This is one of five stadiums in the world that is equipped with a retractable roof. The costs to create this gigantic structure was enormous, reaching to over a billion dollars, including the retractable roof. This arena replaced the Georgian dome, which was used by the local team to participate in home games and for training. The structure took over three years to complete, and the results were astounding. The stadium itself is shaped like a star, with a thoughtful touch that makes it seem like a modern or futuristic structure. The retractable roof is designed in such a way that when it opens, it moves in a twisting form, almost like a pinwheel. The roof consists of 8 major reflective panels that are all situated and controlled by a bunch of seals and railings. When opened, the glass wall covering the dome is retracted and is replaced with a video screen. The panels at the roof are created and designed to look like- when opened- pairs of falcon wings extending over the edges of the building.

The Interior
The inside if the building is just as exquisite as the outside, with extra cushioning and comfort methods, the stadium can hold over 75000 fans and viewers. The central aspect of the building is the halo board. This piece of technology is so big that it is over six stories tall and has a 360 view of the stadium. It is attached to the roof of the stadium and is designed so that it does not meddle with any of the supporters in the auditorium. The design process was quite tricky as the original idea was to place the endboard and scoreboard at the corner of the stadium. However, that idea was shot down as the building was circular, and it just would not fit the standards of the stadium. This led to the scoreboards and the halo board being attached to the top of the stadium.
